Pre-Session Considerations

To ensure a successful session:

  • Choose an open space like an arena or round pen (a small area of the arena is sufficient)

  • Schedule a time that works best for your horse:

    • Avoid feeding times (ensure your horse has had a snack beforehand)

    • Select a fairly quiet time at the facility (some riders in the arena are okay, but avoid conflicting with lessons)

    • Ensure your horse has not been ridden immediately prior to the session and has adequate rest time (up to 24 hours) afterward
